I don’t know about anyone else but we are currently almost 2 weeks post Thanksgiving, and I feel like I am still not ready for life.
For the last 2 weeks, I have just been slugging around. I barely have enough energy to cook or clean. Thank goodness I had last week off so I could just try to build up my energy levels.
These are the things that I have been doing to help re-energize myself:
1. Drink at least 8 cups of water each day
2. Being mindful about what I am eating (i.e. Eating because I’m hungry instead of because I need to munch on something, reducing my carbohydrate intake and increasing my consumption of fruits, vegetables, and proteins, etc)
3. Drinking hot tea instead of my 75% creamer and 25% coffee drink (LOL!)
4. Sleeping earlier and getting between 7-10 hours of sleep
5. Do light exercises at least 30 minutes a day
6. Do one thing at a time instead of trying to multi-task
7. Taking breaks throughout the day to just sit and enjoy a cup of tea
8. Spend at least 30 minutes reading a leisure book
Let me know what you have been doing to re-energize from the recent holiday, and how you’re planning to prepare for the upcoming holiday this month.
